Every Sundays my aunt will bring another auntout for lunch.For the latest Sunday,we got invited to have buffet lunch together (:at Tanglin Shopping Centre!
The Magic of Chongqing Hot Pot
Foods there are remarkable!
They have fish glue too!In case you dont know what that is,it's something near fish paste laaa,but nicer than that of course.Their fish glue is always our TOP FAV.We can have 10plates at one go O_OSome other great selections are :Sliced Fish,Prawn in satay stick,
Thin sliced pork belly,Wantons,luncheon meat,Spinach noodles,etc etc etc. . YUMMY!!!I had it all with sliced garlics, BEST lor!!
Mummy, sister & her bf and cousin Anniejoined us too!
Halfway through our meal, they will serve Guo Tie & Xiao Long Bao.I didnt capture pics of themas I dont fancy that.
After the mains,there were desserts too!Picture below shows Water Chestnut Paste.Very light and not sweet.I like it, but the rest said it was okay only.
年糕 with icing sugarNian gao itself is not sweet at all,have to go with the icing then nice!However, more sugars only apply to youngsters =)
馒头 with condensed milkThese are no ordinary man tou that you always had.You can never find these elsewhere!These are REALLY GOOD circular buns :D
The last dessert was 八宝粥 .Dont be crazy, it's NOT porridge laa.It's sweet rice gruel with 8 mixed beans.Nutritious and satisfying!All of us love it!
We spent abt $20 per head ( after 15% member discount ) .Just 5 bucks more than bugis. .I can get better & cleaner & fresher foods,waiter/ess to serve you,fully air-conditioned,quiet environment to enjoy peacefully,side dishes + desserts,值得 right!

After the overwhelming lunch,we should take a walk along Orchard ma ~Aunt alighted us outside Meritus Mandarin
and we walked to Taka.Mummy wanted to buy bedsheets!( We are moving to our official house real soon. )Mr. J asked why my family rather spent hundredsthan tens of dollars on one complete bedsheet. .my answer was : the difference in durability andcomfortness?But he said his bedsheet also can last very longand he feels comfortable sleeping too.Then I can only answer,maybe people are used to having different things.
After taka, we went Paragon for Aussino.

We are always standing behind as we liked todo funny actions and unstoppable comments.八卦 !We just followed them wherever they wanted to go.In the end, kena conned into walking to Lido Shaw Tower.walau, really damn far leh!Both of us no stamina + mind about shopping,our legs + body cannot tahan lor!Although there got Hello Kitty stuffs,but not very nice. . How to buy ~Finally mother settled with a bedsheet for brother,we couldnt bear to separate with mummy & papabut we really need to take a bus & sit down asap!!Sister & bf also planned to bugisbut we didnt tag along cos his car parked at Cine!SIAO. The foods we ate could last us for the day man!We finally had the chance to try this ice-cream!Uzumaki at basement.1st : choose ur ice-cream flavour.2nd : Cup or cone? Cup is free whereas cone is min. $1 more.3rd : If you wish, $1 for 2 toppings.Then they will flatten the ice-cream.
Next, they will mix ur desired toppings.We chose Green Tea i/c with Oreo and Toblerone.
TADAA!I could see her wee bit of effort in it.
For sure, must let Mr. Jensen Phua, the ice-cream king,have first-hand on it lar!My taste : I prefer it w/o toppings,but it's interesting for 'em to come up with this idea.

For that day, I had $60 with me.Very amazing to be still left with $60 on the last day of the week.Despite that, I kept telling myself thatI have very little money left.Whatever I almost wanted to buy,I told him : aiyaa, no money lah, let's go.Girls 就是 Girls.Once I walked into the shopping street,that's it already lor!Nothing to buy also found things to buy leh!walau, so terrible me.
Bought 2 tops + 1 shoe = $30.Half of $60 gone already right.Earlier on, I bought a mini bag for my aunt $5.90,paid for the ice-cream $6and $5 on kids arcade.$30 - $16.90 = Count by yourself la =xI left with 10bucks in my wallet,the other $3.10 must be in my coin purse.
My bottomline is.. Money is really turning smaller each day.I held on for soooo long,deluded myself that I was broke,but spent off the $50 just like that.Either there's something wrong with my spendingor money not enough.
